Queen Chrysalis by Dragon620026 Queen Chrysalis by Dragon620026
Queen Chrysalis has been SOLD!

She was made from a regular pink Princess Celestia mold.

Overall the changes I made on her were:
- new hair and tail
- new horn
- her crown
- new legs
- eyelashes
- spots on her neck
- added hocks to her legs
- indentation on the base of her neck rather than it being painted on.
- wings

Wings aren't stiff. They do stand upright on their own, however wings have a sort of flutter/vibration when someone picks her up or moves her. I honestly think this is the coolest thing about her. I also gave her a tummy tuck! She does have a thinner tummy/waist than her pink Princess Celestia counterpart.

She was repainted in acrylics and sealed for protection. I'd like to thank the mlparena forum which had a lot of helpful suggestions from other people who were also making her.

This... is... amazing! :wow: The only possible critique I can give is the way her muzzle looks. Other than that, every bit of her is sculpted SO accurately to what we saw in the show, imo  If I had the money, I'd gladly buy one of these X3

*O* I am thoroughly impressed!!!! The attention to detail is incredible, and the fact that you made a 3D figure of a 2D character that turned out NOT looking stupid-pssshhhh, it turned out AWESOME-is downright mind blowing. The way the hair droops over the face is visually pleasing, the horn and wings look perfect, the crown looks delicate without looking fragile or cheap, and the gradient coloring is incredible!!! Ah, little Queen Chrysalis figurine, if only you weren't already sold :iconiloveitplz: a flat out success my friend, you do the entire pony world and fandom of the queen of the changelings justice :iconclapplz: :meow:

She looks so amazing. ^^
If I may ask, how did you make the holes in her legs?
I'm working on a Chrysalis myself from the pink Celestia and cutting in her legs sure ISN'T an option. It's way too hard to cut in with my equipment. :/

I used a xacto knife and sanded it down. It took a while since I didn't want to slice a finger off... or stab myself. O.o

what are the wings made out of? This is one of the best models of her I've seen yet. Keep up the good work. :)

Thank you! I'm glad you like her!

As for the wings, your the first to ask and I regret to inform that it's something that I'd like to not share. Each artist has so much that they are willing to share and then there's the parts that they want to keep to themselves. The wings were actually the thing that I spent ALL day thinking about and ended up with a migraine because I was thinking so hard on what to use. So hopefully you understand. :D

Holy pancakes, this is amaazzingg.

I find it funny that since g4, the price of customs have sky rocketed. Before the bronies? Most customizers couldn't sell a pony for more than $100, and that was with EXCESSIVE body work, molding, etc. Now? Since Hasbro seems to REFUSE to be show-accurate, and they certainly don't make many of the ponies that appears in the series, there's a whole new demand for show-accurate ponies that fetch more than any typical custom would even imagine.

It's pretty awesome. 8D

everyone is right. i mean, i try selling art to my friends, and my art teacher said that $8.00 for a 8.5"x11" paper full color drawing was too little
its not just paper or clay its our heart that we put into creations, and it shows : 3
